Which one do I buy?
vs DHO804: two channels instead of four for ~$70 less. Four channels is the better long-term buy for embedded work (clock + data + chip-select + trigger).
Firmware unlock status
Community-unlockable. Same platform as the DHO804 — same firmware-hack story (bandwidth/memory), same relock risk. The thread that tracks it → Unlocking may void your warranty; firmware updates can relock or brick. This site reports status, it doesn't endorse.
Good for
Gotchas to know
- Two channels bites sooner than beginners expect — most serial-debug jobs want 3-4 signals.
- Same memory-depth and shared-sample-rate caveats as the DHO804.
