Rigol DHO914S
Rigol · DHO900 series · also: DHO914S · DHO914
The do-everything hobby bench in one box: 12-bit scope + 16-channel logic analyzer (MSO) + AWG + Bode plotting. For a home lab it replaces three instruments.

Which one do I buy?
DHO914 vs 914S: the S suffix = built-in 25 MHz AWG + Bode plot — usually worth it. 914S vs 924S: the 924S doubles bandwidth to 250 MHz for ~$200 more ('the $200 bandwidth question'). Note: the 914S ships 150 MHz probes, the 924S 350 MHz ones.
Firmware unlock status
Community-unlockable. Same DHO platform hack family; the 900s ship with more stock memory (50 Mpts). The thread that tracks it → Unlocking may void your warranty; firmware updates can relock or brick. This site reports status, it doesn't endorse.
Good for
Gotchas to know
- The 16 digital channels need the (extra-cost) logic probe.
- Same shared-sample-rate arithmetic as all DHOs.
- Bundled 150 MHz probes are the ceiling before the scope is.
